AbslomRob's Watch Collection

Waltham Appleton, Tracey & Co, 13,938,547

Dug this out of an antique store. As near as I can tell, the "AT&Co" grade was marketed at businessmen. This one is marked "Adjusted", which was typical for the railroad standards at the time (later, they had to specify how many positions). this probably wouldn't have be sold to railroaders though.

The Grey Book lists this serial as being a "Grade No. 35" with only 15 jewels, but this may have been upjewel after finishing. The influx of new watch companies made jeweling a hot marketing issue, and they may have been forced to upgrade the jewel count on older stock to keep them competetive. Or the grey book is just wrong, which happens frequently.
