AbslomRob's Watch Collection

Hafis Calender (F692)

Hafis is registered to F. Suter & Cie. This might have been the company formed by Buren back in 1873, before Buren was bought by H Williamson Ltd in 1898. There doesn't seem to be any connection between F. Suter & Cie and the Buren that existed in the 50's, so it might just be a name thing.

Regardless, this is a nice high-jeweled auto wind with date. The Felsa 690 was marketed as the "Bydynator", and was the first production family of automatics that allowed the rotor to wind the movment in either direction. (Actually, the F410 was first, but it was replaced by the 690 family after only a few months).
